Imagining Vietnamese-Finnish Cultural Narratives
How can I connect the two cultures that have shaped me—Vietnamese and Finnish?
I reinterpreted the traditional Vietnamese “Tranh Dong Ho” folk art style to illustrate Finnish summer traditions. Through three hand-drawn pieces, I explored the essence of Finnish life—sauna rituals, vibrant summer streets, and joyful picnics—blending cultural symbols to create a visual dialogue between my two worlds.
This project is a celebration of heritage and identity, weaving tradition with modern experience through illustration.
